We are in need of volunteers for the concession stands for each middle school. This year we have Rogers Volleyball & Football as well as Reynolds Volleyball & Football. The Band Program in PISD are very fortunate to have the opportunity to run the concession stands at all school-sponsored athletic events and use the profits as a fundraiser for the PISD Mighty Eagle Band. This benefits the Rogers, Reynolds and PHS band program. The concession program runs very smoothly and no experience is needed. Please volunteer to help us continue this fundraising tradition.
Rogers Volleyball games are played on Thursdays. There are only 4 nights (9/8, 9/15, 9/29 & 10/20).
Rogers Football games are played on Tuesdays except for 9/7 which is a Wednesday. The nights we have games are 9/13, 9/20, 9/27, 10/4, 10/11, 10/18, 10/25.

Sectionals Next Week
Sectionals will begin the week of September 5th for all Symphonic Winds & Concert Band I members, and any Concert Band II members that are interested in attending. We have been introducing the all-region pieces this week in-class by section, so students will get a head start before the sectionals begin. For the students that are scheduled for Monday, sectionals will be made up during band class due to the Labor Day Holiday. Please click the following link for the schedule, which will lead you to the information posted on the band website.
For students that participate in before/after school sponsored sports, we have been in contact with the boys and girls coordinators, along with the administration at Rogers MS and have developed a compromise to allow students to participate in their designated band sectional if it conflicts with a practice. A list of all students participating in athletics have been distributed to the coordinators, however we encourage active communication between all students and their coaches so that proper planning can be made. We have awesome coaches and administration at Rogers MS that understand the importance of the well rounded student. We will continue to work with all conflicts as they arise.
